Remedial Unit
At Pinetown Senior Primary School, we are proud to offer one of the most highly recommended Remedial Units in the Highway area, a specialised and nurturing space where learners are supported through personalised teaching approaches that build confidence, strengthen core skills, and meaningful progress.
Our Remedial Unit provides targeted support for children who have been diagnosed with Specific Learning Difficulties, including impairments in reading, spelling, written expression, and mathematics. These are learners who often show average to above-average intellectual potential but struggle with specific areas of learning that require a different approach.
We believe that early intervention is key. The work done in the Remedial Unit does not only support learners academically — it builds a foundation for lifelong learning, resilience, and confidence. Our learners are given the tools to navigate their challenges and grow into well-adjusted, capable individuals ready to make the most of their potential.
